Our Mission
The power of Tefillah is mind-boggling — just as it can move worlds, so can it move the individual immeasurably. Ani Tefillah’s multi-faceted program inculcates in our precious children a close, meaningful, and deeply satisfying connection to God. Our goal is to empower students to be mindful of God’s presence and feel a connection to Him by expressing their personal thoughts, requests, and feelings through tefillah.
Our Story
As the creator of the L’havin Ulehaskil Chumash curriculum, Sefer Yehoshua and Tefillah workbooks, and a seasoned educator with an expertise in curriculum development, Tamar Nusbaum had met with administrators, teachers and principals from across the spectrum of Jewish education. Across the board, the majority expressed the need for a Tefillah curriculum. After collaborating with rabbonim, educators and parents, Ani Tefillah was born.
Our Founder
Tamar Nusbaum has been teaching all grade levels for the past thirty years and specializes in structuring scope, sequences and strategies to utilize classroom time to maximize student learning opportunities. She possesses both the technical know-how for curriculum development as well as the critical skills for classroom integration. Her pedagogic approach ensures that each individual child and the class as a whole are engaged in a process of learning and growth
